What is DStv On Demand?
DStv On Demand is a value-added service offered free of charge to DStv Premium Subscribers. With DStv On Demand, Premium Subscribers can watch a selection of the most popular shows on DStv at their convenience, for at least seven days after the show was broadcast live on DStv.

Premium PVR Subscribers can access up to 20 hours of series, actuality programming and sporting highlights on DStv PVR decoders, while there is also up to an additional 600 hours of content available online to watch or download.

Online content includes series, sports, magazine shows, actuality and documentary programming, movies, reality shows and children’s’ shows, many of which can also be streamed via the DStv App available on iPads.
Who has access to DStv On Demand and what does it cost?
DStv Premium subscribers have exclusive access to DStv On Demand online and via the DStv iPad App. DStv Premium PVR subscribers also have access to DStv On Demand on their PVR decoders.

DStv On Demand is available as a free, value added service to DStv Premium Subscribers.
How do I get DStv On Demand on the DStv iPad App?
When you update to the latest version of the DStv iPad App, you will see a new button on the bottom of the screen when you run the App called “DStv On Demand”. Touch this button to access all of the content that is available for iPads on DStv On Demand.

If you do not already have the DStv iPad App installed on your iPad, there are two ways to find and install the App:

o On your iPad: Simply open the App Store on your iPad, search for “DStv” and install the App on your iPad

o Or on your Computer: Open iTunes on your computer, Click the iTunes Store button,






























o Search for “DStv”






o Download the App.

It will automatically be installed on your iPad the next time you connect and synchronise your iPad to your computer.
How much does the DStv App cost?
The App is freely available in the Apple App Store.
What can I expect from the DStv On Demand on my iPad?
The DStv App provides Subscribers with an eight-day advance TV guide with all the information you’ll need to see what’s coming up and plan your viewing.

The addition of DStv On Demand means that you can now also catch up with selected shows for up to seven days after they have been broadcast on live tv, including series and children’s programming.

A number of shows will also be “stacked” on DStv On Demand, which means that there will be more than one episode available for certain shows, where available.

These new additions to the DStv App are only the beginning, and you can look forward to many other enhancements to both the App and in the mix of content available to watch on your iPad in the not-too-distant future.
How much data does DStv On Demand use on my iPad?
As with any other video services, content downloaded from DStv On Demand could potentially use up a lot of data. While it’s not recommended, we highly recommend that you access DStv On Demand using a Wi-Fi network, connected to an uncapped ADSL line.

While it is possible to use DStv On Demand on your iPad while connected to 3G or HSDPA, we strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with your mobile network operator’s data charges to avoid any surprise data bills at the end of the month.
